"My performance piece, titled "We Live in a Country Where We Have the Right to Sit Upside-down, So It Is About Time That We Start Acting Like It" will involve many people sitting upside-down on the benches around the Walt Whitman statue by the Rutgers Camden Campus Center while doing anything that they would normally do while sitting (eating, conversing, playing DS games, surfing the web on a laptop, attempting to drink, etc.). It will act as a general celebration of unified diversity that will allow the audience to join in, if they like.

The piece will last for approximately twenty minutes and will be recorded on camera. The performance will occur on Wednesday, November 26th at about 12:35. (Some other weird performances will also be in the same area and time.)

Absolutely anyone can show up, and join in for as long as you like. Please invite others if you can. I'm going to keep a sheet for all of the participants to sign so we can get a count of how many people joined in and to collect e-mails for anyone that wants pictures/videos sent to them.

Also, dress warmly if it seems like it might be cold out that day. Ladies, you probably don't want to wear skirts.
